Hello to everyone. I grew up on Long Island, New York. There I met my future husband in high school. We married and moved to the Washington DC area. We were blessed with 3 children. A daughter and then boy/girl twins. Needless to say their younger years kept me very busy. I worked in the medical field at hospitals, nursing homes and some private duty. Life was good.
They say sometimes good things don't last. Well mine didn't. I was diagnosed with a life threatening illness and started my fight to stay alive. My children were toddlers and I couldn't leave them. My husband and I divorced and I had to battle my illness on my own. With God's grace I survived. Bloody and scarred but still alive. I lived to see my children grow into exceptional human beings. I also got to still be here for the birth of my grand-daughter.
I have now moved to California. Where I have some exceptional people as part of my life. Sadly I have lost a few but that is the cycle of life. I now try to help councel others. Even though life may have it's ups and downs, try to focus on the good things. Life can be great, if you look hard enough you'll always see the silver lining.
